Funcom has just posted a development update on the Age of Conan website, updating the players with news on how development of the game will go down for the rest of the years and into 2012. By the looks of the article the crew working on AoC will have a busy Christmas, as there are no less than 5 updates scheduled from Q4 2011 to Q2 2012, with numerous features, content and changes being released for the game. All this suggests that the f2p conversion has resulted in a very healthy population growth for the game and that it will have a bright future ahead.

Updated 3.1 and 3.2 will launch pretty quickly after another, and will feature the long awaited House of Crom dungeon which promises to be one of the most spectacular and atmospheric indoor locations seen in the game to date. The update will also see the launch of a tier four instance in the Jade Citadel, which will certainly prove a challenge for raiders as the encounters are described by the designers are “some of the most complex we have done in the game”. Furthermore the update will have some minor PvP changes, new items to the store, veteran vendors, and additional veteran teleports.

Update 3.3 will add even more tier 4 raiding, more PvP world Bosses, a new multi feat specification system, and new exclusive PvP reward mounts. It is scheduled for early 2012.

Updates 3.4 is also scheduled for Q1 2012, and will be a technical update which will make it possible to enable features as cross-server mini games and a instance finder system like the ones we have seen in World of Warcraft and Everquest 2 amongst other.

And finally update 4.0 that will be the next adventure pack. Information is still a bit limited at this point about this update.

The Anvil of Crom blog on Massively.com has recently posted a series of guides for Age of Conan, one of them being the Demonologist class guide. The guide covers important points such as Feats, skills and buffs, and where to level. But as this is a introductory guide it only covers up to level 40, but follow up guides are being written for levels 40-80 and one for endgame + similar guides for every class in Age of Conan. Since the game does’nt have a very strong online presence and alot of the guides currently on the internet are outdated it’s surely a welcomed sight for all players of the game.
